The non-Remarqued prints are excellent prints on canvas taken directly from the original painting regular prints and are limited in edition to 350 per image.

The LIMITED EDITION PREMIUM FULLY REMARQUED ARTISTS PROOF HAND PAINTED ENHANCED PRINTS are limited to only 25 for each print (see Below).These Premium prints are created in this way. They are printed on canvas from the originals, then they are repainted over the print in oil and re-signed by the artist with his signature in oil paint, so that there may be one or two signatures-if two, one is printed and one painted. If there is one, it was because the original was never signed and now the artist has agreed to sign it for his clients. The Limited Edition Premium Artists Proofs are numbered from 1-25, like this #1/25, or # 2/25 and so on to finally # 25/25. At that point, no more fully painted and signed Artists Proofs are made. An Artist’s Proofs, does the artist from among the first prints run pull a print for special attention for this purpose.

Partially PREMIUM FULLY REMARQUED ARTISTS HAND PAINTED ENHANCED PRINTS are not artists proofs and are partially Remarqued (Painted in oil on canvas) In this case the artist selects certain areas he wishes to repaint RIGHT OVER THE BACKGROUND PRINT! (Remarqued) and then resigns the print with his signature. They are printed on canvas from the originals, and then they are partially repainted over the print on canvas in oil and resigned by the artist, so that there then may be two signatures, one printed and one painted. These are limited to 50 partially Remarqued prints, hand painted over the print and hand signed with the artist’s signature. On the Premium Prints of both kinds, the number of prints is kept very low to protect distribution, quality and availability of a particular print. The prints on canvas, which are not hand Remarqued are, limited to 350 prints each image.

No one can predict the value of either an original or a print, nor do we sell either with the idea that the value is going to increase substantially. Certainly, the works of some artists sell for higher prices today than they did some years ago, but some of those increases are the result of normal inflation of the cost of goods and labor (The art is hand-painted and takes time) as do the prices of any other product, and some is the result of limited supplies of the works of a popular artist, and in other cases it is because the art of a particular artist is in great demand and auctions and other direct sales by commission cause the value to advance.

If you collect the original art of a particular artist with enjoyment as the main or only interest, that is the best approach. We, as any artist or gallery should, do not advise buying art for any purpose other than enjoyment. In that way, if, as in some relatively rare cases, an original should begin to escalate in value, and in some cases, the limited edition prints rise in value also, that is a bonus or frosting on the cake. Limited edition, non-lithographed prints, are sold at major galleries in limited editions internationally at prices ranging from a few hundred dollars to tens of thousands of dollars to allow people who cannot afford the originals, which cost a great deal more, to enjoy the art of particular painters. If you see on this web site a painting you like but cannot afford, please look into ordering the print on canvas.

In his prints on canvas, Bagnolo attempts, and succeeds, in inducing the print makers to meticulously reproduce Bagnolo’s, Impressionistic, blending-blurring of borders, so outstanding and unique in the Italian/Spanish Impressionists works, the so-called “Lost and Found” edges, so distinctive in his original paintings. In this way, the prints, as well, will reflect the effects of sunlight, fog and other environmental factors, which produce the sometimes-foggy softness of his art. Blending, blurring, of “Lost” edges against the occasional specificity of his “Found”, or hard edges, creating the contrasts so necessary not only in color, shade and shadow, cool and warm colors, but also in the aesthetic quality of original art and prints.
