LIMITED EDITION PRINTS

What is a Limited Edition Print? The regular prints are limited in edition to 350, but The PREMIUM REMARQUED ARTISTS PROOF HAND PAINTED ENHANCED PRINTS are limited to only 50 each (see Below) . On those the number of copies is kept very low to protect distribution and availability of a particular print. It is far more aesthetically beneficial to buy art because one loves the image and owning it is a source of joy, than to buy something one is only mildly attracted to for investment purposes. No one can predict the value of either an original or a print, nor do we sell either with the idea that the value is going to increase substantially. Certainly, the works of some artists sell for higher prices today than they did some years ago, but some of those increases are the result of normal inflation of the cost of goods and labor (The art is hand-painted and takes time) as do the prices of any other product, and some is the result of limited supplies of the works of a popular artist, and in other cases it is because the art of a particular artist is in great demand and auctions and other direct sales by commission cause the value to advance. If you collect the original art of a particular artist with enjoyment as the main or only interest that is the best approach, however, if you buy because you like the work of and artist and investment as a possible, but distant secondary goal, that is far better than buying such art with investment as the primary reason. In such a case it is wise to follow the previous history and popularity of the artist and continue to watch and carefully monitor the ongoing value, if any, as a collectible investment. We, however, as any artist or gallery should, do not advise buying art for any purpose other than enjoyment.

In his prints on canvas or paper, Bagnolo attempts, and succeeds, in inducing the print makers to meticulously reproduce the famous Bagnolo, Impressionistic, blending-blurring of borders, so outstanding and unique in the Italian/Spanish Impressionists works, the so-called “Lost and Found” edges, so distinctive in his original paintings. In this way, the prints, as well, will reflect the effects of sunlight, fog and other environmental factors which produce the sometimes foggy softness of his art. blending, blurring, of “Lost” edges against the occasional specificity of his “Found”, or hard edges, creating the contrasts so necessary not only in color, shade and shadow, cool and warm colors, but also in the aesthetic quality of original art and prints.

All Prints are shipped Rolled in Tubes or flat. When you have a canvas framed, ask them to supply stretchers as well. We no longer supply stretchers because of the danger of their damaging artwork.
